As a fair buddy, you look after the companies of your choice during the fair: from the first contact to keeping them supplied with drinks to helping set up the booth. FAQ for students

The fair is open to visitors from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Absolutely! Especially at the beginning of your studies, konaktiva is ideal for exploring your options without any pressure: Which industries are out there, which companies suit you, and what entry opportunities such as working student jobs or internships are on offer? The connections you make now can help you later when looking for an internship or thesis.

No. konaktiva is open to students from all universities and fields of study. Our organizing team is also made up of students from TU Darmstadt and nearby universities. Just come by!

Take a look at our online catalogue in advance: there you’ll find all exhibitors with descriptions, entry opportunities and the qualifications they’re looking for, as well as the complete program of talks and career chats. Mark the companies you’re most interested in and think of a few questions you’d like to ask. Our warm up, with workshops and talks on starting your career, is also a great way to prepare.

There’s no strict dress code. A neat, rather business-style outfit makes a good first impression, but a suit isn’t a must. What matters more is that you feel comfortable – and wear comfortable shoes, because you’ll be doing a lot of walking.

It’s not a must, but it’s recommended. A few printed copies of your CV come in handy when a conversation goes well and you want to leave a lasting impression. Many companies now ask you to submit your application online afterward – just ask at the booth what they prefer and get the name of a contact person.

You can leave your belongings at our cloakroom free of charge.
Public Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
