Who we are

Behind konaktiva there’s no professional event organizer, just a team of students from Darmstadt. As volunteers, alongside our studies, we put together one of Germany’s largest student-run career fairs every year. From the first company inquiry to the last booth taken down, everything is in our hands.

Our team is divided into eight departments, and each one plays its part in making the fair happen.

Management professionalManagement funny

Management

Coordinates all departments, represents konaktiva externally and makes the key decisions. Keeps the team motivated and the big picture in view.

Corporate Relations professionalCorporate Relations funny

Corporate Relations

Our link to the exhibitors: attracts new companies, maintains existing relationships, handles contracts and answers every question about the fair.

PR professionalPR funny

Public Relations

Makes konaktiva visible with posters, flyers, social media, our website and online campaigns. This includes staying in touch with print shops and advertising partners.

Event Management professionalEvent Management funny

Event Management

Organizes the warm up and all other events around the fair, from planning and booking venues to supporting the companies involved.

Finance professionalFinance funny

Finance

Keeps an eye on the money: manages our funds, ensures liquidity and prepares the annual financial statements. The department is also our contact for tax advisors and insurance companies.

Logistic professionalLogistic funny

Logistics

In charge of booth construction, catering and our vehicle fleet. Plans the large-scale setup, coordinates with partners and keeps our storage in order.

IT professionalIT funny

IT

Looks after our hardware and databases, connects the fair and automates processes, many of them with applications we develop ourselves.

HR professionalHR funny

Human Resources

Builds a strong team with team weekends, events and a good atmosphere in the office. At the fair, HR supports the fair buddies and coordinates the one-on-one interviews.

With us, you don’t just study, you build something. Every year we put together a fair with more than 200 companies, and you’re right in the middle of it from day one.

Our History

What began in 1989 with a single fair day and a typewritten catalogue is now one of Germany’s largest student-run career fairs. Every generation has taken konaktiva a step further.
